FREELANCE
As a five-year-old born performer, I knew for sure: I was going to be an actress. So I spent 12 years studying performing arts and dreamed of a life in front of the camera.
But my life took a different turn. I followed another great passion and built a career as a psychiatric nurse.
After a few years, I realised I was losing something along the way: my creativity, my music and my love for the stage.
So…
I quit my job and turned my life upside down…
EDUCATION & INTERNSHIP
I enrolled in the
postgraduate programme
Digital Content Creation and AI,
did an internship at Radio 2 and
graduated magna cum laude
(a first in my school career).

ON-SCREEN WORK
During my studies, I collaborated with TakeAway.com, De Lijn and De Kringwinkel. As an on-screen content creator, I got to put my performing arts skills to use once again.
GHENT STUDENT COUNCIL (UGENT)
I also worked as design and communications officer for the Ghent Student Council. I handled communication with students, came up with and ran campaigns, managed the socials and created social videos and visuals.

Beer Secret
Editing RAW footage into a social video for the Instagram accounts of Beer Secret and De Recensent van Gent.
Maatkasten Online
From trade fairs to showroom openings: as a roving reporter, I head out for Maatkasten Online. I capture the atmosphere, talk to visitors and turn the event into spontaneous, entertaining social content.

During the festival, I manage the socials, post atmospheric shots and stories, and gather footage for an aftermovie.
INTERVIEWS & FORMATS
Based on each artist’s biography, story and the current social trends, I come up with social formats and interviews that I bring to life together with the artist.
CONTENT PLANNING & RUN SHEET
Well in advance, I prepare everything with a content plan and a content run sheet.
MUSIC
I’m the lead singer of the rock band Brogus. We play our own no-nonsense songs with ’90s influences.
Music has been the common thread in my life for over 20 years: violin, bagpipes, music camps and a career as a jazz singer.
I write the band’s English lyrics and manage its socials.
Not on stage? Then I’m in front of it, preferably at a Zwangere Guy, John Butler or The Kooks gig.

On my own Instagram page, I started vlogging. In my own formats, I take my followers along, with a healthy dose of humour, on my journey from job seeker to freelancer and my adventures as the frontwoman of a rock band.
I also vlogged my home renovations on the Instagram page Bouw_Babo.
